LJ Hooker celebrates young artists
The 2011 LJ Hooker National Draw My House Competition captured the imaginations of children from across Australia with a record 9,000 plus entries from across Australia and over 100 000 votes.

The national winners are:
Monte Tilse
Holy Spirit School in New Farm, Queensland
(3-6 years);
Dolly Nguyen
Newborough Primary School in Scarborough, Western Australia (7-10 years) and
Simon Akroyd
Birkdale State School in Birkdale, Queensland
(11-13 years).

These talented winners all receive $2000 each courtesy of LJ Hooker Finance plus a $3000 CUBE Extreme LJ Hooker Marquee for their school or community group.
The judging panel had a tough job deciding on just three winners as the quality of the artwork was very high this year.
The 24 winners of the People's Choice Award received a staggering 107,000 votes with each winner receiving a creative educational gift pack from Scholastic's KLUTZ range valued at $200 each.
Kayla from Goolwa in South Australia was awarded the Mr Hooker Bear Award and receives a gift pack of art supplies to help her continue her artistic career.

"Local schools and communities from across Australia have supported this competition by encouraging children to show their creativity and all for a good cause.
"The idea of ‘home' is really powerful, nowhere more so than in the hearts and minds of Australian children. We're happy to give them the opportunity to express that ,"Mr Darrow said.
