When Heather first started in real estate she adopted a simple strategy – one which has been the cornerstone of a successful fourteen-year career to date with LJ Hooker Cleveland. For her, it’s always been about people, not houses. And with two LJ Hooker Bronze Club awards under her belt, it’s clearly a strategy that will continue to stand her in good stead.
Heather comes from a service industry background – and it shows. Her aim is to make the property process stressless rather than stressful and her cheerful, happy demeanor goes a long way to achieving that – proof positive being the fact that 95 percent of her sales come from repeat business.
A background training as a nurse, working as a receptionist, several years as the only female consultant in Queensland at a telecommunications company and a supervisory job in communications at police headquarters for seven years gave Heather a jump start in real estate in 1998.
An 18-month spell in a Capalaba real estate agency was followed by 18 months in Melbourne in workplace health and safety before LJ Hooker Cleveland. “I wanted to work for a professional organization and the perception that LJ Hooker is a good agency is widespread.
