We obviously set up a Business Plan to go with my goals and once a month James and I check it so I achieve everything I want to achieve.

Prospecting wise there are some great processes in place. Agents can be given a set routine that gets you speaking to people – everything is there to help.

Once a month we have training. James gets very good speakers which give very, very good training to help you move forward.

The systems and backup that we have are just excellent. All you have to do is just sell houses. When you walk in with a Contract or a Form 6, Admin takes over. It’s a great setup – there is about 12 support staff and they can’t do enough for you. They include a qualified graphic designer; an agent video producer; contracts manager; we’ve got everything you could possibly think of to assist get you where you want to be.

Working in the office is really good. Everyone is happy chappies. We’re all pulling together and looking to help. It’s a friendly atmosphere. It’s a great environment to work in."

Since I have been with LJ Hooker Cleveland I have had listings and sales that I am very pleased with, and to be completely honest I didn’t realise that I would do as well with these guys but because of their support which they have in place, I have been able to. I had personal situations in my life that stopped me from working at the start of the year and if it wasn’t for their constant support, guidance and care, it would have been very hard to help my sellers and my buyers - they took over the role completely. I am in absolute awe of the Carmichael family. The support of the office is integral to listing and selling property. If I am busy doing paperwork I can’t do that, so they have this amazing support system in place. I have admin at my beck and call, and they are wonderful people - they are problem solvers, and they communicate efficiently. It’s a great team. The lead generation they provide me with - I didn’t believe existed for Sales Agents! So I am very happy with the leads they supply me with, as well as all the prospecting tools they give me, and constantly update. We have Growth Meetings every week to grow our business. We have monthly training called “Road to Captains” which helps all our agents to prospect; follow up; learn our systems; and become better agents. I am constantly inspired by the number of people in our office. We have a lot of sales agents who are fantastic and I am proud of them because they are part of our team. It is not a competitive environment – it is a team environment.

The Carmichael family have gone above and beyond for my journey with them at LJ Hooker. There is absolute constant support at any time of day, and they consistently provide world-class training and fantastic backup processes. This combined with the lovely family values they hold, puts them in a number one position for real estate in Australia for me. There is no-one I would rather work with as a result. Our Principal, Iain Carmichael, is a non-selling Principal and he runs the business. He enables us to do our job effectively - the first words he said to me when I walked into the building were "what do you need because we are here to help you?" It was weird to get used to as an agent - normally you have to do all these jobs yourself. Agents, have to have a very diverse range of skills to succeed in real estate, but here at LJ Hooker, they do all the hard work. There is a lot of depth in the business but the most important thing is the culture of the office - everyone just wants to help, from Admin to Management, to John doing the signs - and you don't normally have to ask, everything is automatically done for you. So my life is made incredibly easy by the entire team. When someone lists their house with Nathan, it's with the whole team at LJ Hooker. As soon as I list a property the office gets straight to work.

After working in the industry for many years and seeing how a large number of offices operate, without a doubt, I would have to say that Iain has got it spot on! The support, backup, and resources are right there ready to go, along with systems and processes to make our job of selling as uncomplicated and as stress-free as possible. Sales people are sales people because that’s what they are good at, and here at LJ Hooker, all of the admin and ‘busy work’ is done for you. If you are not here now, you should be.

The team are lovely and extremely helpful, everything is done in the background for you. I have now been in the industry for almost 3 years and have worked for Raine & Horne and Remax.
